Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle on Android in early 2011

PopCap will release Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle on Android in early 2011.

Popcap Games is an American studio known for its flagship games including Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies. Last June, the studio announced the development of Android some of its games.

Today we have confirmation of the upcoming release of two of them: Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle, which should be available in early 2011 on Android.

Meanwhile, here is a description of these two games.

Plants vs. Zombies (Plants against Zombies)

This video game tower defense type was released in 2009 on PC and was particularly focused on iPhone.

The goal of this game is to defend his house against a zombie invasion. Before entering the house (and thus stop the game), the zombies have to go through a garden. The latter is composed of plant and fungus caused by the player, who used to attack the zombies. Each unit has its own characteristics and can be improved.

At the beginning of each level, the player can see the different types of zombies that will have to fight. It then selects the most appropriate plants among those proposed. Levels are divided into types of terrain.

Peggle

Peggle is a puzzle game represented in 2D which are distributed pegs (pcs) of different colors.

The player has to launch part of a set number of balls he has sent from the top of the screen, choosing a suitable angle. The ball then bounces off the pegs which will turn on / turn on. When the ball falls down the screen all lit pegs disappear.

The goal is to remove all pegs using the minimum balls.
